Please find our list of frequently asked questions below. We try to keep this list updated with useful information, so hopefully the answers you are looking for can be found here. If you are not able to find the information you need and have a trade account with us, you can contact your account manager. If you do not yet have an account, you can contact us either via email, or by using the form at the bottom of the page.

Opening A Trade Account

What information is needed to open an account?

This will depend on your legal entity, and which country you are based in.

Generally, we need to know who we are dealing with, and where they are. We therefore require documentation showing who you are, and proof of address.

Once you have submitted an application, we will contact you to request any additional information we may need to open your account.

Where can I view your Terms and Conditions?

You can see our current Terms and Conditions here. You can also download a pdf copy for your records if you wish.

Please bear in mind that only the version of Terms and Conditions which were in use at the time you placed your order will apply. If you are unsure which version applies, you can always ask your account manager, who will be happy to help.

How can I open an account?

Please use our application form to apply for a trade account.

One of our account managers will then contact you to guide you through the next steps and open your account.

Pricing & Stock

What products do you stock?

Our stock offering is constantly updated. Once you have an account, we will provide a daily stock file for each of the categories you have requested.

Your account manager will take the time to understand your business and will be able to suggest products and offers which may be of interest to you. If there are products you are interested in which are not part of our current offerings, speak to your account manager as we are often able to source hard to find products.

Are your prices inclusive, or exclusive of VAT?

All prices quoted are ex VAT.

Placing An Order

Is there a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

Our Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is £400 for domestic orders, or £500 for international orders. Orders in other currencies will be subject to this at an equivalent rate as displayed on www.xe.com.

Any order under these amounts will not be accepted.

How can I place an order?

All our stock files contain bulk pricing discounts which are available to you, along with a section to order the units you require. Simply fill in this section and sent it back to your account manager. Your order will then be loaded onto our system, reserving the stock, and a Sales Order (SO) will be sent as confirmation.

We can also accept orders placed via email or telephone. However, ordering directly from the stock file as described above is the fastest way to reserve your stock and place your order.

Will I receive an invoice?

Yes, invoices will be sent via email once your order has shipped.

If your delivery address is in the UK, this will be a VAT invoice.

Payment & Credit

How can I pay?

Payment instructions will be included on your Sales Order (SO). We can accept payment via bank transfer in either GBP, EUR, or USD.

Do you offer credit?

Yes, we can offer credit.

Once you have placed a few orders, ask your account manager about the possibility of opening a credit account and they will guide you through the process.

Our decision to offer credit is made based on our current business relationship with you, and will only be granted if your account is in good standing. We may require more information from you before we can offer a credit account.

Shipping

Where can you ship to?

We currently ship to customers all over the world.

If you are based outside the UK, a shipping quote will be provided prior to confirming your order.

Do you offer free shipping?

All domestic orders will benefit from free next day shipping as standard.

For international orders, shipping will be calculated per order and will depend on the size and weight of your shipment. We do not offer free shipping for international orders, but we do subsidise the cost.

When can I expect my order?

We aim to ship all orders paid before 2pm the same day.

For UK deliveries we use a next day service, so you can expect to receive your order the next working day after it has been shipped.

For international deliveries, delivery times can vary depending on customs and how far the goods need to travel. We can provide a delivery estimate when you are placing your order.

There is a problem with my order, what should I do?

Whilst we make every effort to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of your order, mistakes can happen and errors are occasionally encountered.

In the rare event that that you encounter an issue with an order you placed, you should contact your account manager who will then investigate the options and provide an appropriate resolution to rectify the situation to your satisfaction.
